Application Process

Have you completed all these steps?

  • Read Information for Students
  • Informed your university
  • Confirmed your supervisor and research project
  • Compiled your research proposal, statement of results and supervisor’s letter of support

Your application must include the following three documents saved as PDFs. Please adhere to the format below:

  1. Research proposal (maximum of one page)
    File name: LASTNAME-ResearchProposal.pdf
  2. Statement of results (including the previous semester’s results)
    File name: LASTNAME-StatementofResults.pdf
  3. Letter of support from your supervisor
    File name: LASTNAME-LetterofSupport.pdf

Notification

All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via email.

Note: due to the expected volume of applications, we are unable to provide full feedback for unsuccessful applicants.

Late Submission

For your application to be considered after the closing date you must apply to AMSI for late submission at events@amsi.org.au. Late submission is only approved in exceptional circumstances.

Withdrawal

If circumstances change and you need to withdraw from the SRS program, discuss this with your supervisor. You must then notify your university’s SRS contact/AMSI Member Representative and email AMSI at events@amsi.org.au with the reasons for withdrawal as soon as your decision is confirmed. The withdrawal will be reviewed and payment adjusted accordingly.
