Biography
Alex is a student in the Bachelor of Science at the University of Melbourne, majoring in mathematics. Alex is currently just finishing off the third and final year of his undergraduate
degree, with plans to move on to exciting things in a research-filled masters program.
Propulsion of Small-Scale Devices in Gas
This project explores a novel gas engine that can propel a solid body with no moving parts. It will involve a combination of advanced analytical methods and numerical algorithms for solving the Boltzmann equation. This work will be conducted within the School of Mathematics and Statistics, University of Melbourne, in the ARC Centre of Excellence in Exciton Science (ACEx).
