Numerical Simulation of Pressure Drops from Patient-Specific 4D MRIs

This research project aims to consider the full Navier-Stokes equations in a FE analysis. The velocity data from MRI scans will be taken into account via a weak imposition of boundary conditions for the velocity field. An algorithm will be implemented to project the 4D MRI data into a FE space and the advanced FE code Gridap will be utilised and developed upon to simulate patient-specific pressure drops. The credibility of the results will then be analysed.
