PDE Discovery Using Machine Learning

This project plans to investigate methods of the discovery of governing partial differential equations to a given dataset using machine learning. It will aim to extend the existing methods by improving their mathematical foundations.

Sean McGowan is an undergraduate student at the University of Adelaide currently undertaking a double degree of Mathematical Sciences and Mechanical Engineering. His research interests have been shaped through both his love of pure mathematics and his fascination with innovative engineering and include dynamical systems, control theory and machine learning.
