Multi-Pulse Solutions in a Generalised Fitzhugh-Nagumo Model

In the project we study the generalised Fitzhugh-Nagumo (GFHN) model. The GFHN model consists of an inhibitor and an activator variable which form coupled ordinary differential equation. It has already been shown that 3-component GFHN system exhibits 2-pulse solutions. In this project we investigate any new pulse-patterns created upon further increasing the number of inhibitors in the GFHN system.

Queensland University of Technology

My name is Stefano Giannini I am 21 years old and at the end of this semester I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Mathematics (Applied and Computational)/Bachelor of Science (Physics). I have always enjoyed studying Mathematics and always look for opportunities to study Mathematics. I have done a couple of Mathematics projects with different supervisors which I really enjoyed. If time permits, I like to indulge in other activities such as playing soccer, chess and playing piano.
