Xun Chun Tee is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies in The Australian National University.
He is inspired by the wide application of statistics which has provoked his interest in statistical research, more specifically statistical modelling. In addition, statistical modelling is widely used in practical work therefore further exploring methodology and the suitability of its application in various field is his long term goal.
Model Selections in Linear Mixed Model
Linear mixed effect models are highly flexible in handling a broad range of data and a key part of the analysis of data is model selection. The model selection problem is more complex than in linear regression because of the difficulty of selecting on the covariance structure. This project will involve reviewing and comparing selected methods from either LASSO or the Fence group of procedures.
